Signed on the dial " J.W.Ramsay, Felling on Tyne" The movement confirms this information. Hallmarked Chester 1893 the substantial case is in nice condition and signed R.H (thought to be Rowland Hill & Co, Coventry). The Movement is of good quality with 12 jewels and is full plate, going barrel with dummy fusee. It has a gold balance with brocot regulation. Guilding is excellent of both the movement and the dust cover. The dial is of 3 piece construction and has two very small hairlines, but superb for its age. Running strongly this is a quality watch of the period and agreat example of a Victorian English watch. Offered at the price of £135.
